SEAA Cross Country Championships - Brighton - 28 January 2012
Of the seven BAC athletes who made their way to Stanmer Park, Brighton for the SEAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday 28 January, perhaps Bridget Dence and Steve Way were the two who produced the outstanding performances. In the U13 Girls' race, Bridget finished 14th in an event which is the prestigious Cross Country race in the south, drawing entrants from all Counties south of the Thames, and from many, including all of East Anglia, from north of the Thames. Steve was an astonishing 19th in the Senior Mens' race, in which there were 745 finishers, and this only a week after his success in the Gloucester 50k! BAC was also represented in the U17 Mens' race by David Long, and in the U20 Mens' race by Joe Price. Andy Jennings, Laurence Plant and Ian Graham supported Steve in the Senior Mens' race.
