SEAA Cross Country Championships - Parliament Hill, London - 16th February 2013
Unfortunately, due to clashes with other races, BAC was unable to field a Senior Mens' Team at the re-scheduled SEAA Cross Country Championships at Parliament Hill, London, on Saturday 16 February, but three of our youngsters ensured we had a presence. In the U17 Mens' race, Corrie Norton completed the gruelling and (always!) muddy course in 22.44 to finish 89th of 151 competitors. Bridget Dence, in the U15 Girls' race continued her consistent, excellent form, finishing 37th of a total of 187 finishers in 15.21, and in the U13 Boys' race, Glen Balfour recovered from a fall at the start to complete the course 109th of 204 in 12.17. Racing at Parliament Hill invariably involves a long, hard day, with considerable travelling, and a very tough course, and well done to Corrie, Bridget and Glen for their time and effort, and for showing the BAC vest at one of the most prestigious cross country events of the year.
