Wessex Cross Country League
Canford Heath Middle School - 30th September 2012
The first Wessex League Cross Country of the season took place on a new course at Canford Heath Middle School on Sunday 30 September 2012. A marshalling problem sent some of the leading runners the wrong way in the Senior Mens' Race, which has led to a slight delay in compiling the results, which, in the end, cannot be fully completed. BAC's new signing, Stuart Summerell, showed his potential by finishing fourth in his race, which combined Senior, Veteran and U20 Men. It appears that the winner of the race was Wimborne's promising youngster, Callum Kenedy, but the problems meant that Callum's time was not recorded, and the second and third finishers were veterans, which means that, in his first competitive race wearing the BAC vest, Stuart was the winning Senior Man! Well done! Stuart completed the course in 27.42. Well done too to the BAC trio of U17 Men who, in fact, comprised the only complete team in the U17 race. Jo Arundel was the outright winner, in 15.03, and fourth was Harry Horton Hill (17.01), shortly followed in fifth by Brendan Kirkton (17.05). Bridget Dence, in the U13 Girls' race, demonstrated that another outstanding season for her is on the cards. Unfortunately, the results of the U13 Girls' race don't seem to be available, but it can be confirmed that Bridget was second - well done also!
