Milborne 10 - Sunday 9 January 2011

BAC's good start to the new year continued at the second League Race of 2011, the Milborne 10, an 'undulating' race starting and finishing at Milborne St Andrews, through scenic Dorset countryside, with, at one point, a spectacular view of Milton Abbey and School. Although carrying the title 'Milborne 10', the declared distance is actually 9.79 miles, so the results here won't count towards the Club Championship. BAC achieved a 1, 2, 3, the outright winner of the race being Ian Habgood, followed in second and third place by Simon Munro and Jon Sharkey respectively. In seventh place, Paul Chapman completed the winning team for the day, with Tony Chutter, finishing seconds behind Paul in eighth position, completing the winning Road Race League team. Tony also collected the award for first MV50, and the final BAC award went to Chris Birch who was the first MV60, finishing twentieth out of a total of 271 finishers. Congratulations to all our winners, and also congratulations and thanks to all who turned up and ran an enjoyable race in perfect conditions, thus ensuring that BAC was well represented at different levels.
