BAC athletes made significant contributions to the Dorset team, competing against Devon, Somerset, Avon, Gloucestershire, Cornwall and Wiltshire in these championships. In the mens' competition, Dorset finished 6th, whereas the womens' team achieved 3rd position, resulting in a 5th overall position for the County. Just how valuable were the efforts of our athletes can be judged from the fact that gold medals were won by no fewer than 5, namely Peter Briant, Andrew Elkins, Charlotte Symes, Nicholas Hunt (2) and Georgia Hurd. In addition, silver medals were won by Fergus O'Reilly, Amy Spencer, Amelia Wilcock and Robyn Charles and bronze medals by Andrew Elkins (2), Nicholas Hunt and Rosie Wootten, and 8 of our athletes achieved Competition Standard in one or more events.
