AFCB is planning to develop a new stadium on the land currently occupied by the Kings Park Athletic Stadium. Home of Bournemouth AC for over 50 years.
The decision on building a new football stadium rests with Bournemouth Borough Council. They are the planning authority and AFCB will need planning permission. They also own the land on which our stadium is built.
Members of your committee have been in discussions with staff from the Council for several weeks. We have been looking at options which would allow an athletics stadium to remain at Kings Park in the long term. If necessary, a new fit for purpose stadium.
The push to ensure athletics remains at Kings Park starts now. A working group has been set up to work with the Council, including Tim Hughes, Zac Kerin, Tim Ward and Robin James. Your support will help in our fight to keep athletics in Kings Park.
