Unlocked Sprints Fest

Bournemouth Unlocked Sprints Fest

Bournemouth Athletic Club is hosting an Open Graded Sprints meeting on Sunday 23rd August at 1030 at King’s Park Athletics Stadium.  The meeting is an initiative to give local athletes a chance to compete without the need for much travel.  As such, and to limit the numbers on site, the meeting will be open only to athletes who are members of Bournemouth AC, Poole AC, Poole Runners, Wimborne AC, Dorchester AC and Weymouth St Paul’s Harriers and AC.

The events will be seeded races as follows…

100m – SM, SW, U20M, U20W, U17M, U17W, U15B, U15G, U13B, U13G

200m – SM, SW, U20M, U20W, U17M, U17W, U15B, U15G, U13B, U13G

300m – U17W, U15B, U15G

400m – SM, SW, U20M, U20W, U17M

Meeting will be held under UKA Rules and EA Covid-19 Guidelines and thus will be an ‘official’ meeting with results compiled for Power of 10.  There will be a wind gauge in operation.

The timetable will be published later once we know the number of athletes attending.  The meeting is however planned with the aim that 100m and 200m athletes could double up, so the running order will be 100m at 1030 followed by 400m, 300m and 200m.
